Schlader Recognized for Lead Retail Lending Role

Kim has worked in banking for 20 years. She has worked in her role as a Lender for nearly 15 years and was promoted to Vice President, Real Estate Lending in 2010. She has worked in the lead position for 2 years. Her primary responsibilities include originating real estate loan applications and underwriting and closing real estate and consumer loans. Additionally, she is active in First Security’s Compliance Committee and is also involved with the training and educating of First Security’s Retail Advisors.

 Kim is a former student of NIACC and the University of Northern Iowa. She has been a lifelong resident of Charles City and has been a very active volunteer in the community. She is a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, is the Vice President of the Comet Booster club, is a member of the Floyd County Compensation Condemnation Board, is the Treasurer of the Charles City Post Prom and Graduation Committee, and past Chamber of Commerce Board Member as well as past Immaculate Conception School Board member.

When Kim is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her family especially enjoys camping, boating, going to sporting events, and vacationing. Kim and Kalen, her husband of 29 years, have four children, Alex (Allie) Schlader, Makaila (Brad) Sloter, Karli (fiancé Brady) Schlader, and Noah Schlader. Kim and Kalen also have one granddaughter, Reese, the daughter of Alex and Allie Schlader.
