TEACH KIDS TO SAVE DAY 

 

It's never too early or late, to teach kids skills for budgeting, saving and managing money.  April 29th marked the 13th annual National Teach Kids to Save Day.  First Security's Charles City location hosted after school educational banking activities for Better BEE Club members to celebrate this day.  During this event children went on a bank tour to examine the various functions that take place behind the scenes. “The children enjoyed seeing aspects of the bank that are usually kept from public view”, comments Heidi Worrall, Vice President of Human Resources “this event truly gave them a chance to learn the value of banking and saving in everyday life”.  In an extra effort to demonstrate the importance of saving, First Security gave away a free movie pass all day to any child who deposited money into their savings account on April 29th.
