First-run films are back on the big screen and seats are filling again at Hampton’s Windsor Theatre. It’s a big change from the quiet days and nights that have defined the COVID era of the past year.
To help the theater recover as a resource for the community, First Security Bank & Trust chose it as a beneficiary of their recent Tuesday on the Town fundraiser. While Nashville country artist Elizabeth Lyons performed at Bandshell Park, First Security prepared and served meals for a freewill donation. Donations for the meal raised over $500 and First Security rounded that amount up to $750. All funds were donated to the Windsor Theatre, and leftover food was donated to the Hampton pool for one of their events held that week.
“We are happy to support the Windsor Theatre in this way,” said Ron Raney, First Security Market President and Hampton resident. “The Windsor is an important attraction for the Hampton community. It brings people into town and contributes to the quality of life in Hampton by providing jobs, volunteer opportunities, and entertainment for the area.”
First Security Bank & Trust has locations across North Central Iowa and headquarters in Charles City. Member FDIC.
