The First Security Bank & Trust Board of Directors and President/CEO Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer are pleased to announce the promotion of Nolan Boyd to Ag/Commercial Lender.
Boyd joined First Security in the spring of 2017 as a Credit Analyst. During his time at First Security, he has provided financial analysis for Ag/Commercial customers and support to loan and board committees to aid in credit decisions. Prior to joining First Security, Boyd completed a 4-year internship in the banking industry. This experience has provided him with a great foundation for his new role as an Ag/Commercial Lender. In this position, he will be responsible for evaluating financial data, reviewing loan applications, and helping farmers and business owners succeed in their current and future endeavors.
“Nolan’s financial industry experience, coupled with the fact that he is native to the area, gives him a solid foundation of the essential knowledge needed to be a successful lender at First Security,” commented Mark Miller, EVP/Chief Lending Officer. “We are very happy to have him join our lending team.”
Boyd is a graduate of New Hampton High School and Wartburg College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He also achieved a minor in Accounting. Since starting at First Security, Boyd has completed his first year of Ag/Credit School at the Iowa Banker’s Association. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and is an avid golfer.
