The First Security Bank & Trust Board of Directors and President/CEO Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer are pleased to announce the promotion of Amy Wilson, Lacy Schoenfeldt and Carolyn Marth. Wilson has been promoted to Loan Administrative Specialist, Schoenfeldt has been promoted to Loan Operations Specialist, and Carolyn Marth has been promoted to Loan Quality Control Specialist.
Amy Wilson is originally from Lakota, a small town in Northern Iowa. She is a graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College where she received her AS in Broadcast Media and AA in Communications. Since starting at First Security, she has worked in several areas including retail, eServices, customer service, and, most recently, the loan department. With her promotion to Loan Administrative Specialist she’ll be responsible for providing support to Ag/Commercial Lenders. She’ll perform general administration duties as well as provide customer service and branch support.
Amy has been a member of the Charles City community for 16 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching movies. She’s also an avid reader.
Lacy Schoenfeldt is native to Charles City. She’s a graduate of Charles City High School and NIACC. She joined First Security several years ago in the loan department and has helped in several capacities in that area ever since. In her new role as Loan Operations Specialist, she will be responsible for maintaining a strong understanding of loan management and documentation. She will be a resource to her coworkers for First Security’s core systems and will coordinate the exchange of information with regards to the loan operation function of the bank.
When not at work, she enjoys relaxing, being outdoors, camping, and spending time with her family.
Carolyn Marth is originally from Thornton. She attended SCMT Schools, the University of Iowa, and Kirkwood Community College. Several years ago, she moved to Charles City after she met her future husband, Josh. She joined First Security in 2014 and since then has focused on hazard and collateral insurance and appraisals for the loan department. In her new position, she will ensure the bank maintains a sound loan portfolio with respect to law, policies, and procedures. She will also assist with the appraisal function of the bank.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Particularly, she likes playing with her two young children, taking trips with her husband, and spending time at her parents’ family getaway in Minnesota.
She also enjoys baking and watching Hawkeye football. She and her family recently moved to the Marth family farmstead, which has been in the family since 1913, and has been very busy with getting settled in there.
