First Security Contributes to Trailside Park Fundraising Efforts in Latimer

First Security recently donated $500 toward the fundraising efforts for updating Trailside Park, a park on the south side of Latimer. Pictured above is Ron Raney, Market President, and Julie Wade-Picht, Ag/Commercial Lender, presenting a check to DeeAnn Arlow (middle) of the Trailside Park Committee.

The Trailside Park committee was formed early in 2019 with a goal of raising $40,000 by June of 2020. With this money, new playground structures, picnic tables, and park benches can be purchased and then installed by volunteers. If enough money is raised, the committee also hopes to update the basketball court located within this park.

“In small towns like Latimer, playgrounds and parks are sometimes the only options for family entertainment,” commented DeeAnn Arlow, Trailside Park Committee Chairman. “Having an updated, safe, and healthy environment to play in is very important to residents of this community.”

For any questions or information on how to contribute to this project, please contact Arlow at 907-355-3189.
