First Security recently donated $2,500 to Mission Thornton, Inc. Their goal is to raise $24,000 to replace Thornton’s current welcome sign with an LED electronic message board.
“This message board will be a great addition to Thornton”, commented Randy Bohman, Retail Advisor at First Security Bank and Thornton City Council member. “It will be a great way to promote local organizations and events in the area. The message board will be very visible to those who visit Thornton or are just passing through.”
Mission Thornton is comprised of local individuals whose primary objective is to draw new residents to the community. Recent projects have included creating a disc golf course, restoring the outdoor basketball/pickle ball court, and refurbishing the community center.
