January 22nd, 2021: The First Security Bank & Trust Board of Directors and President/CEO Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer are pleased to announce that Lucas Pierce and Wendy Castillo have joined the First Security Video Banking team.
The Video Banking department has been especially busy during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the technology offers customers the ability to bank from a safe social distance. Eight of First Security’s thirteen locations offer Video Banking and it’s available from 7am - 7pm Monday through Friday as well as from 7am – 1pm on Saturdays.
Lucas Pierce and Wendy Castillo have both joined First Security as part-time Video Bankers. They will work one-on-one with Video Banking customers via video chat, as they help them with many banking needs ranging from cashing checks to making loan payments.
Pierce is a student at Nashua-Plainfield High School with plans to soon study mechanical engineering and computer science as a college student. He also currently works at HyVee and spends time on a personal project called “Reel Impact”. Through Reel Impact, Pierce aims to help promote local businesses through videography.
Pierce is an active volunteer for the Nashua VFW, where he helps raise awareness and shares his musical talents by playing “Taps” for veteran ceremonies.
Castillo is originally from Charles City, where she also attended high school. She then went on to Hawkeye Community College and the American Institute of Commerce, where she received an associate degree in general business/accounting.
Prior to joining the bank, Castillo worked at Comprehensive Systems as a Certified Medical Assistant and at Fox River Mills in Osage. Additionally, she is a volunteer for PAWS Humane Society.
Outside of work, Castillo stays busy with her twin 16 year old boys. She enjoys trying new things, whether it’s a recipe or outdoor adventure. She also likes movies and visiting with family and friends.
First Security Bank & Trust has locations across North Central Iowa and headquarters in Charles City. Member FDIC.
