The First Security Bank & Trust Board of Directors and President/CEO Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer are pleased to announce that Ashley Orcutt, Betsy Schweizer, Kayla Zubrod, Stacy Yezek, and Mariah McKenzie have joined the First Security team in Charles City.
Ashley Orcutt joins First Security as a Human Resources and Marketing Assistant. She will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, but will be primarily involved with recruiting and hiring new employees. She will also coordinate several bank events and meetings throughout the year.
Orcutt was born and raised in Charles City. She previously worked at Comprehensive Systems for 15 years. She worked in several departments and many positions during that time.
When not at work, Orcutt spends the majority of her free time with her 1 year old son, Beckham, and planning her wedding to Levi Klinkel, another Charles City native. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her niece and nephews.
Betsy Schweizer, Kayla Zubrod, Stacy Yezek, and Mariah McKenzie join First Security as Video Bankers. In this role, they will operate technology that allows them to hold face-to-face conversations with customers, via video chat, while assisting them with deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, loan payments, and more. The Video Banking department has been especially busy these last few months as customers opt to bank from a distance.
The flexible work schedule that video banking provides is a good fit for Schweizer, as she is currently a student at Wartburg College. There, she is studying social work with a minor in psychology.
Schweizer is also a Lead Coordinator for the Holiday Shoppe at Wartburg, which is similar to Toys for Tots for Bremer County. When she’s not busy with work, volunteering, or studying, she enjoys playing board games.
Zubrod, who is originally from Charles City, was interested in the Video Banking position because she likes providing customer service and learning about new technology.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, painting, and reading.
Yezek joined First Security after working in the service industry. She was interested in trying something new, and enjoys that Video Banking still allows her to have interaction with people.
She lives on a farm near Colwell. She loves to read and play with her dog, Vern. Her favorite way to pass time, however, is to spend it with her granddaughter, Mabel.
Mariah McKenzie, a Charles City native, joined First Security after she returned home after her first year of studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. There, she is studying textile and surface design.
McKenzie was interested in joining First Security because it was a way for her to get more customer service experience during a time when face-to-face interactions are limited.
When not at First Security, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and hiking. She also works at Mara Bridal Boutique and is a public speaking tutor at her college.
First Security Bank & Trust has locations across North Central Iowa and headquarters in Charles City. Member FDIC.
