The First Security Bank & Trust Board of Directors and President/CEO Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer are pleased to announce that Jeff Badger has joined the Manly Ag/Commercial Lending team as Vice President.
As Vice President, Ag/Commercial Lender, Badger is responsible for creating and maintaining a strong loan portfolio while working with local farmers and business owners to help them reach their individual goals and ultimately improve the communities we live in.
Badger is originally from Parkersburg, Iowa. After graduating as one of the last “Crusaders” from Parkersburg High School, he attended college at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City.
Badger brings 20 years of lending experience and 15 years of banking experience to First Security. Over the years, he’s held the roles of Business Relationship Manager, Market President, and Ag/Commercial Loan Officer. He’s gained experience in a variety of communities including, Waterloo, Marshalltown, Clear Lake, and Pella.
Outside of work, Badger is very involved in the community as a volunteer. He has served in leadership roles with United Way, Rotary, and Kiwanis. He is currently a board member of Keep Iowa Beautiful and the Pella Dog Park Association.
“Jeff will be a very knowledgeable resource for customers. His 20 years of experience will allow him to hit the ground running and his community involvement fits with First Security’s culture,” commented Randy Hassman, Market President. “We’re very happy to have him joining our lending team.”
When not at work, Jeff enjoys being outside, especially by the water. He also enjoys running and has completed 6 marathons as well as numerous half marathons and 5Ks. Jeff and his family reside in Clear Lake.
