Jennifer Lessin, Credit Analyst at First Security Bank, has successfully completed the 2018 Iowa Bankers Association’s Introduction to Commercial Lending School held October 8-10 in Cedar Rapids.
The school is an intense program sponsored by the Iowa Bankers Association. The purpose of the IBA Introduction to Commercial Lending School is to give students a basic understanding of the principles and concepts of commercial lending. The curriculum for the school involves an extensive case study, as well as classroom lecture and problem loan exercises.
“Jennifer completed these studies in the top 10% of her class,” commented Diane Wolfe, Chief Credit Officer at First Security. “This achievement proves her commitment to her position, and that she is a valuable and knowledgeable resource for our lenders.”
Lessin has worked for First Security since 2011 at the Charles City location. She started as a Loan Administrative Specialist and was later promoted to Credit Analyst in 2014. Lessin received her AA degree in Accounting from NIACC and her BA in Finance with a minor in Accounting as well as an International Business Certificate from the University of Northern Iowa. Lessin is an active member of the Historic Preservation Commission, and she also serves as Treasurer for the Floyd County Historical Society Endowment Fund. When she isn’t working, she enjoys reading, painting, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
