The First Security Bank & Trust Board of Directors and President/CEO Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer are excited to share that, earlier this year, Kathy Steere and Erica Holliday successfully completed the IBA Consumer Credit School.
The school is an intense one-week program with the purpose of educating consumer credit personnel who want to broaden their consumer credit knowledge or who have not been exposed to formal consumer credit education. This is accomplished by developing a better understanding of the consumer credit function, deepening the comprehension of the managerial aspect of consumer credit operations and developing and refining the administrative and human relations skills necessary to meet the credit needs of their customers. The ultimate goal is to prepare students to serve effectively and profitably as consumer credit officers.
Steere has been with First Security since October of 2010. She first joined the bank as a Teller, but has since been promoted to Head Teller, Teller Supervisor, and her current role as Retail Banking Supervisor. She’s responsible for opening a variety of accounts and serving as a resource for her customers on First Security’s products and services. However, she’s also involved with training new and existing retail employees at First Security.
Steere attended NIACC for general education requirements before transferring to Buena Vista. Steere also graduated from the Iowa Bankers Leadership Institute and, later, joined the IBA Emerging Leaders Peer Group.
Holliday, also a Retail Advisor, has been with First Security since August of 2017. She has also been a great resource to her coworkers, as she’s often assisting at the Teller line or at First Security’s branch locations when needed.
First Security Bank & Trust has locations across North Central Iowa and headquarters in Charles City. Member FDIC.
