Using your money shouldn't cost you a dime. With our free Visa® debit card, you can easily access your funds from wherever the day may take you. Skip writing checks. All you have to do is swipe!
Funds are automatically deducted from your checking account. You can also access your account from an ATM to make withdrawals, transfer funds, and more. With this card in your wallet, your balance is always nearby.
Relax knowing your card is protected! To ensure the safety of your debit card, your ATM and debit card transactions are monitored for potentially fraudulent activity. This may include a sudden change in locale (such as when a U.S.-issued card is used unexpectedly overseas), a sudden string of costly purchases, or any pattern associated with new fraud trends around the world.
Our text alert service allows you to keep tabs on suspicious debit card activity instantly.
What is the difference between Available Balance and Total Balance?
Your Available Balance is your beginning of the day balance plus or minus any of Today's Credits or Debits.
For example: your Total Balance is $100. Today's Credits total $25 (you deposited $25 cash at your local branch), Today's Debits total $10 (you withdrew $10 at an ATM). Your Available Balance would be $115.
Your Total Balance is the balance you had at the end of the previous day. Very soon the wording of the second line on your ATM receipt will change from 'Total' to 'Ledger Balance'.
For additional answers to any of your ATM receipt questions please call 800.272.0159 to speak with a First Security banker.
Note: When making a withdrawal at a non-First Security ATM, the owner of that ATM determines which balance will show on your receipt.
